UAE Ministry Of Finance Launches Initiatives To Promote Social Solidarity During Ramadan
The UAE Ministry of Finance has initiated a series of community-driven activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan, showcasing its dedication to fostering the spirit of generosity within the society. These efforts are a continuation of the ministry's commitment to uplift those in need and enhance their living standards. Younis Haji Al Khoori, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, emphasized the UAE's long-standing commitment to charitable endeavors and its success in becoming a hub for humanitarian efforts globally.
Al Khoori highlighted that the Ramadan corporate social responsibility program is a reflection of the UAE's ingrained culture of giving and the Ministry of Finance's ongoing efforts to promote charity work. The program aims to support and assist vulnerable communities, thereby strengthening social solidarity and tolerance. Rashid Mohammed Al Khatibi Al Kaabi, Head of Emirates Red Crescent in Ras Al Khaimah, acknowledged the Ministry's significant contributions to humanitarian and developmental initiatives, underscoring the collaborative efforts to enhance social responsibility across government entities and the community.

In observance of Zayed Humanitarian Day, which falls on the 19th of Ramadan in remembrance of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's passing, the Ministry partnered with Emirates Red Crescent and the Community Development Authority in Dubai for several initiatives. Among these was the 'Iftar Sa’em' initiative, aimed at providing iftar meals to 1,000 fasting individuals. Additionally, the 'Ramadan Mir' initiative targeted 50 underprivileged families to foster community responsibility and sustainable giving values among all societal groups.
The 'Your Eidiya is On Us' initiative was another significant effort by the Ministry to distribute Eid clothing to 100 orphans and their families, ensuring their needs are met before Eid Al Fitr. This initiative is part of the ministry's broader goal to promote social cohesion and support among underprivileged segments of society. Through its Ramadan corporate social responsibility program, the UAE Ministry of Finance is dedicated to promoting values of kindness, tolerance, compassion, and generosity for the welfare of all community members.
