UAE Ministry Issues Travel Caution For Citizens Amid Thefts

In light of the increasing number of thefts involving UAE nationals in countries such as Spain, Georgia, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, and Austria, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued a warning on its social media channels for Emirati travellers to exercise caution and vigilance.

The MoFA advisory includes recommendations to avoid wearing valuable or rare items, securely store official documents at their place of residence, and book cars and hotels through reputable global companies to prevent scams and fraud.

Furthermore, MoFA encourages UAE nationals to follow travel guidelines specific to each destination. These guidelines are regularly updated on the UAE traveller page on MoFA's website and smart app.

Emiratis are also advised to register for the "Twajudi" service and save the emergency contact number for UAE nationals: 0097180024.

It is essential for Emirati travellers to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions while visiting foreign countries. By following MoFA's advice and guidelines, they can help ensure their safety and security during their trips abroad.
