UAE Minister Applauds Emirati Professionals In Private Sector For Contributing To National Growth
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, along with ministry officials, recently visited Emirati employees at AW Rostamani Group. The visit, part of the ministry's activities for International Workers’ Day, highlighted the dedication and excellence of Emiratis in the company.
During the visit, Dr. Al Awar was joined by Khalid Al Rostamani, Chairman and Group CEO of AW Rostamani, and Dr. Amina Al Rostamani, Executive Board Member and Chief Operating Officer of the Group. Dr. Al Awar remarked, "The work that Emirati professionals do in private sector companies adds value to the companies that employ them and enhances their contributions to the UAE’s sustainable development efforts."

He emphasised the ministry's support for Emirati employees across various economic sectors to ensure job stability and promote an attractive and innovative work environment in private companies. He called on these companies to commit to Emiratisation targets, which offer a significant range of incentives.
Dr. Al Awar highlighted the historic results achieved in Emiratisation, noting that over 97,000 UAE citizens are now employed in more than 20,000 private sector companies. These results underline the effectiveness of government decisions, policies, and initiatives, particularly the Nafis programme.
"These impressive results have been achieved in partnership with the private sector, which has demonstrated great commitment to achieving Emiratisation targets," he added. This objective has strong support from UAE leadership and is closely supervised by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council.
The total number of Emirati employees in the private sector has grown by approximately 170 percent since September 2021 when the UAE Government launched the Nafis programme. This growth reflects the success of initiatives aimed at increasing Emirati participation in the private sector.
Encouraging Continuous Development
Dr. Al Awar encouraged Emirati citizens at AW Rostamani Group to continuously develop their skills and strive to contribute effectively to their job positions. He was briefed on the Group’s training and recruitment programmes and praised their efforts to provide a stable work environment while meeting Emiratisation targets.
The visit underscored the importance of ongoing support for Emirati professionals in private sector roles and highlighted successful partnerships between the government and private companies in achieving national employment goals.
