UAE Unveils First Authorised Lottery, Pioneering Responsible And Regulated Gaming

The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) has granted a license for the UAE's first authorised lottery operation. This development is part of GCGRA's efforts to establish a regulated commercial gaming sector in the UAE, focusing on transparency, accountability, consumer protection, and responsible gaming.

Jim Murren, Chairman of the GCGRA, stated, "The launch of the UAE Lottery is a pivotal event that not only marks the establishment of a disciplined world-class regulatory framework for lottery activities but also underscores our commitment to nurturing a secure and enriched commercial gaming environment in the UAE."

The license was awarded to The Game LLC, a company known for game development and lottery operations. Operating under the name 'UAE Lottery,' this entity will offer various lottery games tailored to different player interests and financial preferences.

Kevin Mullally, CEO of the GCGRA, reaffirmed, "The GCGRA is steadfast in its commitment to global best practices in consumer protection and regulatory oversight. Our regulatory framework is designed to ensure the integrity, fairness, and transparency of commercial gaming activities in the UAE, which include lottery games. Engaging in or facilitating commercial gaming without GCGRA approval is illegal in the UAE. Consumers playing through unlicensed operators also face legal consequences under this framework.
