UAE Delegation, Led By Noura Al Kaabi, Addresses Palestinian Issues At OIC
Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, recently led the UAE delegation to the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This crucial session, prompted by an invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with Palestine, Jordan, and Iran, aimed to address the ongoing situation in Palestinian Territory and the continuous Israeli assaults on Palestinians.
During her speech, Al Kaabi highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, calling for a unified effort to achieve an immediate ceasefire and ensure the safety of civilians through urgent humanitarian aid. She underscored the UAE's commitment to peace and stability in the region and its extensive diplomatic endeavors following the crisis outbreak between Palestinians and Israelis.

Al Kaabi firmly rejected Israel’s policy of collective punishment against Palestinians, including displacement efforts and property destruction. She condemned all actions violating international and humanitarian laws, urging Israel to cease settler violence. The Minister stressed the importance of initiating serious negotiations for a two-state solution, ensuring a peaceful coexistence between Palestinians and Israelis.
The UAE has been at the forefront of providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians. This includes launching ‘Gallant Knight 3’ operation, establishing an air bridge for delivering relief and medical aid, and dispatching 200 flights, 490 trucks, and two ships carrying 20,000 tonnes of urgent relief aid. Furthermore, under directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, the country will host 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza for medical care.
Additionally, the UAE has inaugurated a comprehensive field hospital in southern Gaza and dispatched a hospital ship as part of its efforts to support the Palestinian health sector. The establishment of six desalination plants to provide drinkable water underscores the UAE's commitment to alleviating humanitarian suffering in Gaza.
Al Kaabi’s participation in the OIC meeting reflects the UAE's active role in seeking sustainable solutions for peace in the Middle East while addressing immediate humanitarian needs. The country continues to advocate for international collaboration to end extremism and violence, emphasizing a transparent path towards peace through negotiation and mutual respect.
