UAE Pioneers In Policing Innovation And Leadership With Global Impact
In a significant stride towards enhancing global policing practices, the first batch of officers graduating from the Professional Diploma of Policing Innovation and Leadership (PIL) have lauded the programme for its forward-thinking curriculum and international collaboration. Organised by the General Department of Training in collaboration with Rochester Institute of Technology, the diploma underscores Dubai and the broader UAE's commitment to integrating scientific programmes in policing to better anticipate future challenges and improve community life quality.
The PIL programme, which saw participation from 45 officers across 30 countries, has been praised for fostering an exchange of knowledge and expertise. Over four months, participants engaged with 30 experts from various international bodies, delving into a wide array of topics pivotal to police security work and the imperative of nurturing creativity within the force.

Major Ahmad Al Rawashdeh from Jordan highlighted the programme's role in strengthening the exchange of expertise among officers. He emphasized the diversity of topics covered, all central to the essence of police security work and the critical nature of creativity in foreseeing the future of policing and enhancing community life quality.
From Zambia, Officer Tediz Mubita pointed out the diploma's emphasis on bolstering innovation in police work and staying abreast of modern policing techniques worldwide. This focus is deemed essential for promoting security and safety on a global scale.
Reflecting on the programme's breadth, Major Ahmad Shahab from Bahrain noted its valuable content and the unique opportunity it presented for officers from 30 countries to share their varied experiences. He underscored how this collaboration opened avenues for learning about crucial developments in smart cities and raised awareness about the importance of innovation in policing to meet evolving developments and challenges.
First Lieutenant Bashar Joman from Syria praised the PIL for providing an ideal environment for personal, professional, and academic growth among officers from different nations. He commended the scientific material offered throughout the four-month course for enriching participants' knowledge base.
Brazil's Officer Ricardo, a fingerprint expert, described the PIL diploma as an excellent opportunity to access valuable information that could significantly enhance police work. He expressed optimism about the programme's potential to drive societal changes in the future. Additionally, Ricardo extended his gratitude to Dubai Police for their exemplary role in leveraging technology, investing in innovation, and bolstering security and safety measures.
Officer Brecia Hurdwar from Mauritius Police shared her appreciation for Dubai Police's comprehensive design of the programme. She highlighted her personal gain from interacting with officers from various countries, insights she intends to share with her colleagues back home.
