Families filled the stands at Mubadala Arena, with many parents closely following the matches. Their presence highlighted how jiu-jitsu is becoming part of daily life for many households. It also showed the sport’s role in strengthening discipline, respect, and confidence among younger athletes.

Mogamat Zaid Egleton, Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professionals, linked the day’s level to long-term planning in the UAE. Egleton noted that the championship reflects systems designed to support athletes from childhood through to advanced stages of competition.

He said, "The second day of the Abu Dhabi International Jiu-Jitsu Championship showed the true picture of the future of this sport. With the participation of more than 1,000 athletes across the youth, juniors, children, and cadet divisions, we can clearly see how successful the UAE has been in developing jiu-jitsu from an early age. The competitive level was outstanding, making this day successful by all standards, and clearly demonstrating how the UAE continues to build champions from the grassroots."

The schedule for the Abu Dhabi International Jiu-Jitsu Championship runs until 18 January, with contests planned for several categories and technical levels. The continued activity at Mubadala Arena supports Abu Dhabi’s position as a regular international destination for jiu-jitsu events and athlete development.
