UAE's Leadership In Soft Power Index Marks Global Diplomatic Influence

The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) recently highlighted the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) impressive standing in the Brand Finance Soft Power Index 2024, where it secured the first position regionally and the tenth globally. This achievement is seen as a testament to the UAE's continuous and positive impact both regionally and on the international stage.

Nickolay Mladenov, Director-General of AGDA, emphasized the significance of this ranking, particularly noting the UAE's eighth place in the 'Influential in Diplomatic Circles' indicator. This position reflects the UAE's crucial role in international diplomacy, especially at a time when middle powers are increasingly important in maintaining global peace, security, and shaping development agendas. Mladenov highlighted key milestones such as the UAE's successful term in the UN Security Council, achievements at COP28, and an expanding network of trade agreements as evidence of diplomacy's positive influence.

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of AGDA, echoed these sentiments. He attributed this success to the strategic approach of the UAE diplomatic corps and the vision of the nation's leaders. Their support for AGDA's mission to prepare future diplomats is pivotal. Dr. Al Dhaheri believes this recognition will motivate students to leverage the educational and practical opportunities offered by AGDA.
