UAE Expands Global Leadership Development with New Programmes in Kazakhstan, Malta, Madagascar

The Government Experience Exchange Programme in the UAE has recently unveiled its collaboration with Kazakhstan, Malta, and Madagascar to launch leadership development initiatives. This announcement was made at the World Governments Summit 2024, highlighting the Programme's role as a pivotal platform for knowledge exchange. It aims to share the UAE's exemplary practices and experiences in government modernization and development with these nations.

These leadership programmes are crafted in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development and the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government. Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, emphasized the Programme's objective to foster unique experiences among the governments of participating countries and the UAE. He noted that dual programmes are tailored to meet each country's specific needs to maximize benefits from the Programme.

UAE's New Global Leadership Initiatives

Since its inception, the Government Experience Exchange Programme has seen over 180 government leaders from 46 countries graduate after participating in various leadership programmes. These leaders have accumulated over 10,000 training hours across different initiatives. The breakdown of participants includes 30 in the Government Global Leaders Programme for Global Executive Leaders from 28 countries, 40 Executive Leaders in the Future Leaders Programme (ARADO), 27 in the Seychelles Executive Leadership Programme, 20 in Malta Executive Leadership Programme, 25 in Uzbekistan Young Leadership Programme, 22 in Maldives Future Leadership Programme, and 15 in Kurdistan Future Leadership Programme.

The UAE's efforts through this Programme have significantly impacted governments and countries worldwide by sharing knowledge, expertise, and innovative solutions to various challenges. The UAE government's focus on discovering new development opportunities forms the core of its goals. Through partnerships established via this programme, there is a strong foundation for building a sustainable future for communities globally.

Engagements with delegations from different countries during these initiatives have opened avenues to extend the positive influence of the Government Experience Exchange Programme further. Effective partnerships with over 30 countries have been established, reflecting approximately 30 million working hours dedicated to empowering governments and fostering a better future for people worldwide.
