UAE President And Leaders Receive Condolences On Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed’s Passing
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently received a series of condolences on the passing of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, marking a period of mourning within the United Arab Emirates. The expressions of sympathy were extended by prominent leaders from across the region, underscoring the deep respect and affection held for the late Sheikh Tahnoun.
The condolences were conveyed at Qasr Al Mushrif in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was joined by siblings and children of the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. Among those offering their respects were H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; and H.H. Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman.
Additionally, condolences were extended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, alongside numerous Sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, and citizens.
The mourners prayed for peace and mercy upon the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed and sought patience and solace for his family, relatives, and all members of the Al Nahyan family during this sorrowful time. They also recalled with appreciation the late Sheikh's numerous contributions to the nation's development and his close companionship with the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed.
His Highness the President was accompanied in receiving condolences by several key figures including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; among others.
This gathering not only served as a testament to the legacy left by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed but also highlighted the unity and strength among the leaders of the UAE in times of grief. The collective mourning and remembrance reflect the high esteem in which the late Sheikh was held, both for his personal virtues and for his dedicated service to his country.
