UAE-Kuwait Media Celebration Led By Dubai Press Club To Strengthen Bilateral Ties
A large UAE media delegation is travelling to Kuwait in early February for a joint celebration that underlines strong bilateral ties. The visit includes the ‘UAE-Kuwait Media Celebration’ and several cooperative initiatives, aimed at supporting long-term media partnership and highlighting shared visions for development between the two Gulf neighbours.
The delegation includes more than 100 senior UAE media figures, among them editors, writers, journalists, content creators, artists, producers, and influencers. Leading Kuwaiti media professionals, writers, and opinion leaders will also attend. The gathering reflects mutual respect between the UAE and Kuwait, and a shared commitment to a prosperous and secure common future.

The ‘UAE-Kuwait Media Celebration’ will be attended by Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of Kuwait. During the programme, the Dubai Press Club will honour Kuwaiti media professionals who have supported cooperation, especially those who helped shape the Arab Media Award since it started in 1999.
The agenda also features a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai Media Incorporated and Kuwait TV. The agreement is designed to expand joint media production, promote exchange of expertise, and support the creation of high-quality content. A panel titled ‘Media and the Voice of Youth: The UAE and Kuwait’ will be held, organised by the Dubai Media Youth Council with the Kuwaiti Media Youth Council.
The visit follows directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to celebrate close ties with Kuwait. It is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and guided by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
Mona Ghanem AlMarri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted the historical role of Kuwaiti media in the Arabian Gulf over the past century. AlMarri recalled cooperation that existed before the UAE’s founding, and stressed that media remains essential to strengthening a partnership based on mutual respect and shared aspirations.
AlMarri also noted that the visit, organised by the Dubai Press Club, underscores how media institutions can support bilateral relations. The Club expects the presence of senior participants to encourage further collaboration across platforms. The composition of the UAE delegation reflects broad sector representation, as shown below.
