UAE-Kuwait Relations Strengthened As Sheikh Mohammed Meets Kuwaiti Businessmen At UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum
The UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum in Dubai brings together senior UAE leaders and Kuwaiti business families to discuss long-standing economic ties. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met participants during preparations for the World Governments Summit 2026, underlining shared interests, regional cooperation, and the symbolic "UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week.
His Highness was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the meeting with Kuwaiti businessmen. The gathering formed part of "UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week, which highlights the historic relationship between both countries. Business figures included members of the Al Osaimi, Al Roudhan, Al Razouqi, Al Bahar, Al Kharafi, Al Rifai, Al Hasawi, AlSayer, Bukhamseen and Alshaya families.
Kuwaiti participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to meet His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and UAE officials in Dubai. They stressed their esteem for the strong relations linking the UAE and Kuwait. According to attendees, the "UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week reflects lasting bonds and supports broader cooperation and integration across many economic and social sectors.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated that UAE-Kuwait relations are rooted in shared history and represent a distinctive model of ties between neighbouring states. His Highness pointed out that Kuwaiti nationals contributed to the UAE’s development journey from its earliest days, sharing experience, capital and advice before and after the formation of the Union.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: "Our celebration of the ‘UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ week is a message of gratitude and loyalty, reflecting the depth of the bond between our two peoples and our appreciation for Kuwait’s remarkable support and contributions to the UAE’s development. These events are not merely a celebration, but a manifestation of a solid partnership based on mutual trust, shared destiny, and a common history that we hold with pride and honour."
Reflecting on regional trade, His Highness described commerce as a driver of trust among Gulf societies. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: "Trade has never been just an exchange of goods; it has been a bridge of connection, an expression of trust, and a path to building relations among the people of the Gulf. Kuwaiti merchants were present in UAE markets from the early stages, as partners in business, and as friends through life’s challenges."

His Highness also acknowledged the role of Kuwaiti investors who selected the UAE as a base for their companies and assets. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid noted that the achievements of these joint ventures reflect the UAE’s open economic setting. Concluding his address, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stated: "We will continue to strengthen our historical ties so that the UAE and Kuwait continue forward hand in hand, brothers forever.
