UAE And Jordanian Foreign Ministers Denounce Israeli Incursions Into Al-Aqsa
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of Jordan, condemned the ongoing Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al Haram Al Sharif. The latest incursion was led by an extremist minister in the Israeli government, members of the Knesset, and extremists under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
During a phone call, the two ministers denounced the Israeli government’s permission for the so-called "Flag March" in occupied Jerusalem. They criticised the accompanying aggression against Palestinians, extremist racist practices, and restrictions imposed on worshippers’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque. Additionally, they highlighted the limitations on movement within the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The diplomats stressed that Israel, as the occupying power, must comply with its legal obligations. They called for an end to illegitimate and illegal measures that undermine the chances of achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution. The ministers affirmed that Al-Aqsa Mosque, covering an area of 144 dunams, holds profound spiritual significance for Muslims.
They emphasised the need for Israel to respect the historical and legal status quo of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed underscored the importance of Hashemite custodianship over these sites and commended Jordan's role in protecting their Arab Islamic and Christian identity.
