UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation Evaluates Season And Prepares For Abu Dhabi Championship In 2025

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) Board of Directors convened at their Abu Dhabi headquarters to assess the current season's progress and prepare for the 17th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship. The meeting, led by Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, focused on upcoming competitions for the National Team.

Alhashmi expressed his appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. He highlighted their crucial support in maintaining the UAE's success in jiu-jitsu both regionally and globally.

UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation Prepares for 2025 Championship

The board discussed strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the sport's reach. They reviewed preparations for the 17th edition of the championship, scheduled for November. Vice Chairman Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri stressed the event's international significance and reiterated their commitment to showcasing Abu Dhabi as a premier sports hub.

Plans were also laid out for the UAE National Team's participation in major international events. These include the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Thailand, JJAU Regional Championship West Asia in Jordan, JJIF World Cup in Croatia, 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, and World Games 2025 in China.

To ensure athlete readiness across all categories, intensive training camps are planned. The board evaluated local club development, pinpointing challenges and growth opportunities. They outlined steps to foster talent development and enhance community engagement within the sport.

The meeting also involved a review of the 2025 budget to align with strategic goals and further develop the UAE’s jiu-jitsu ecosystem. This financial planning is crucial for sustaining progress and achieving long-term objectives.
