Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, recently underscored the unwavering commitment of the UAE's leadership to support its workforce, a sentiment strongly backed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The celebration, held at Saadiyat Housing Village in Abu Dhabi, was a vibrant showcase of the UAE's rich cultural mosaic and its dedication to worker welfare.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Kizid Complexes, alongside numerous other public and private entities. The celebration also included traditional and international performances, such as the heritage show "Liwa Art" by the Bu Awad Band and Raqa performances showcasing Indian and Western arts. Notably, champions of the Tolerance Cup for Cricket were honoured during the event.

In addition to entertainment, the celebration was marked by acts of appreciation for the workers. More than 180 families of volunteers prepared food that was distributed in four labour communities in Abu Dhabi by over 50 UAE volunteers. This gesture symbolized the deep gratitude felt towards workers on their international day.

Sheikh Nahyan's speech highlighted the theme "Together in the Emirates of Zayed," celebrating peace, harmony, and human fraternity within the UAE. He expressed heartfelt appreciation for the workers' dedication and their significant contributions to the nation's progress and prosperity. Sheikh Nahyan also outlined future initiatives aimed at supporting workers, including organizing sports events like the Tolerance Cup for cricket and kabaddi, as well as yoga classes and other activities that promote physical and mental well-being.

The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence acknowledged the support from various sponsors and partners in making the Labour Day celebrations a success.
