UAE And Indonesia Hold Second Joint Consular Committee Session To Enhance Cooperation
The United Arab Emirates and Indonesia recently convened their second Joint Consular Committee session in Jakarta. This meeting aimed to improve cooperation in consular services for citizens of both nations. Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Andy Rachmianto, Director-General for Protocol and Consular Affairs at Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the discussions.
Khaled Belhoul conveyed greetings from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He highlighted the positive developments between the UAE and Indonesia. Belhoul emphasised the UAE's dedication to strengthening ties with Indonesia, aligning with the aspirations of its leadership.

Belhoul praised the historic relationship between the two countries, built on mutual respect and understanding. He acknowledged Indonesia's efforts in enhancing bilateral relations, which have seen significant progress across various sectors in recent years.
The meeting also involved representatives from both countries' foreign ministries and other relevant authorities. These participants discussed several shared consular issues and explored ways to develop them further. They also focused on enhancing joint consular cooperation.
