UAE-India Partnership Business Meet: Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Promotes Economic Cooperation In Ras Al Khaimah
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, participated in the "UAE-India: Partnership for enduring prosperity-Business meet" at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. The event saw attendance from Uday Samant, Maharashtra's Cabinet Minister for Industries & Marathi Language, Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul-General of India to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, alongside numerous business leaders and company representatives.
Sheikh Saud highlighted the robust ties between the UAE and India, built on mutual respect and shared goals for prosperity across various sectors. "We in Ras Al Khaimah recognise the immense potential that can be realised through enhancing our cooperation with India. We are confident that expanding our partnerships with Indian companies will contribute to achieving greater success, creating more job opportunities, and opening new horizons for trade and investment," he stated.
The forum also marked the announcement of the "Global Maharashtra Business Forum" in Ras Al Khaimah. This platform aims to unite entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and government decision-makers to collaborate and explore business opportunities. The initiative seeks to foster dialogue on enhancing bilateral relations and strategic partnerships between the UAE and India, particularly focusing on Ras Al Khaimah.
During the event, Sheikh Saud witnessed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements were between Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones (RAKEZ) and both the Federation of Indian Industry and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). The MoUs aim to bolster cooperation by supporting Indian companies' growth in Ras Al Khaimah through tailored services and dedicated workspaces.
The first MoU is designed to enhance support for Indian businesses in Ras Al Khaimah by offering customised services, hosting events, and providing dedicated workspaces. Meanwhile, the second MoU focuses on boosting trade relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Maharashtra by facilitating a conducive business environment and implementing joint projects.
Sheikh Saud expressed optimism about future collaborations with India. "We are certain that relations between Ras Al Khaimah and India will continue to strengthen in the coming years. With our joint efforts and the unlimited opportunities, we can build new paths to success, drive innovation, and create a brighter future that serves our aspirations," he added.
The forum's goal is to strengthen business ties between UAE's and India's business communities. It aims to contribute significantly to sustainable development and mutual prosperity by encouraging productive dialogue on developing bilateral relations.
