The tournament will be held from 3rd to 20th October 2024, spanning Dubai and Sharjah. This event is organised in collaboration with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and Dubai Sports Council (DSC).
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice highlighted the UAE's diversity, stating, "One of the exciting things about the UAE is its diversity. It’s a place where the entire world is represented! This means that this is effectively a home World Cup for all 10 teams and players can enjoy the support of passionate fans. With that in mind, I’m delighted to announce today that tickets will be available from just AED5 and under 18s will go free."

The tournament will feature 10 teams from various continents competing in 23 matches. Teams include Australia, Scotland, New Zealand, England, South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, and Bangladesh. The event promises thrilling contests and outstanding performances.
Group A consists of six-time champions Australia alongside India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Group B includes Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland. The league matches will be divided between Dubai and Sharjah.
The semifinals are scheduled for 17th October in Dubai and 18th October in Sharjah. The final match will take place in Dubai. This setup ensures a balanced distribution of games across both emirates.
