On the occasion of World Health Day, coinciding with the 76th anniversary of the World Health Organization, HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, the Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) of the United Arab Emirates, underscored the nation's achievements in developing an exemplary healthcare system. This system, he noted, is founded on the principles of enhancing quality of life and achieving lasting accomplishments, guided by the unwavering support and visionary leadership of the UAE.

Under the theme 'My Health is My Right,' Al Owais articulated the UAE's commitment to viewing healthcare as an inalienable right for all its citizens and residents. The nation prides itself on its healthcare policies, which aim at offering premier services and safeguarding patient rights, aligning with international standards. The Minister's statement not only reflects the UAE's dedication to elevating healthcare but also underscores the country's innovative approach to global health challenges.

"Positioned as a beacon of innovation, the UAE aspires to be the source of creative ideas and solutions, thereby solidifying its role as a pivotal and influential entity in the global healthcare landscape. The UAE is committed not only to serving the needs of its population but also to extending its capabilities to benefit communities regionally and globally, in line with the aspirations of the UAE Centennial 2071," Al Owais stated.

The continuous improvement of the healthcare sector is identified as a national strategic priority, requiring a collaborative effort among domestic health authorities. This cooperation aims to boost the sector's competitiveness, adaptability, efficacy, and alignment with the national agenda, which places a significant emphasis on human well-being.

Al Owais highlighted the critical role played by the rapid development of health and digital services in strengthening the UAE's sustainable preventive healthcare framework. Moreover, he acknowledged the national initiatives unfolding under a forward-looking vision, aimed at elevating healthcare standards and improving the quality of life.

In expressing his gratitude, Al Owais applauded the health and technical leaders and staff, along with strategic partners from governmental and private organizations. He praised their constructive and fruitful cooperation, which he credited with enhancing the health, happiness, and quality of life of the UAE community. These efforts, he noted, are in alignment with the nation's ambitious goals for the upcoming decades.

This statement on World Health Day serves as a testament to the UAE's robust healthcare system, its innovative approach to healthcare challenges, and its commitment to ensuring the well-being and happiness of its people, setting a global standard in healthcare excellence.
