UAE Health Council Outlines Key Strategies To Enhance Health Sector And Competitiveness
The UAE Health Council recently convened to deliberate on several strategic initiatives poised to enhance the nation's health sector. Among the key topics discussed were the establishment of a national centre for epidemic prevention and the latest updates on the health cloud project. This meeting, which took place on Thursday, 21st March, saw the endorsement of numerous decisions aimed at strengthening the health sector and promoting a unified approach among federal and local health authorities and strategic partners.
Chaired by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, the meeting witnessed participation from notable figures such as Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH); Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA); and Dr. Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority. Representatives from government health authorities and the private health sector were also in attendance.

The primary objective of this gathering was to foster enhanced cooperation and coordination across various health initiatives and projects. It aimed at unifying efforts to achieve the UAE's national health objectives and developing a future plan for the country in the health sector, positioning it for leadership and excellence.
