UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Meets Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embaló To Discuss Cooperation
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, recently met with His Excellency Umaro Sissoco Embaló, President of Guinea-Bissau. Their meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The leaders focused on enhancing cooperation in development, economy, trade, and investment. They aimed to advance shared priorities and fulfil their peoples' aspirations for progress and prosperity.
The discussions also addressed various mutual interests. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between the UAE and Guinea-Bissau. This collaboration aims to benefit both nations and their citizens significantly.
During the meeting, honours were exchanged between the two leaders. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the Order of Zayed to President Umaro Sissoco Embaló. This is the UAE’s highest decoration for heads of state, recognising his efforts to enhance bilateral relations.
In return, President Umaro Sissoco Embaló presented Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the Amílcar Cabral Medal. This is Guinea-Bissau's highest honour, acknowledging his role in strengthening ties across various fields and highlighting the deep friendship between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
These officials were joined by other top representatives from both nations. Their presence underscored the importance of this diplomatic engagement and its potential impact on future collaborations.
This meeting highlights a continued commitment to fostering strong international relationships. By focusing on mutual interests and exchanging honours, both nations aim to build a prosperous future together.
