UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 Conclude With Launch Of Key Initiatives For Economic Growth

The UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 concluded in Abu Dhabi, attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This event gathered over 500 officials to unveil significant projects aimed at transforming the UAE's economic and social landscape. The agenda included more than 40 sessions focusing on national priorities.

During the meetings, the "National Family Growth Agenda 2031" was introduced to strengthen family values as a core part of Emirati identity. Additionally, the "Emirati National Identity Strategy" was launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the National Projects Office. These initiatives aim to reinforce cultural values and national identity.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasised that people are central to government priorities. He stated, "People are at the center of the UAE Government’s priorities. Building a unified team is our main objective towards fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the UAE."

The meetings also saw the introduction of "Unified UAE Numbers," an AI-driven platform for real-time data and statistics. This tool is designed to support decision-making processes and enhance readiness for future developments. The AI Readiness Index was also launched to assess federal entities' preparedness for AI leadership.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the importance of results, saying, "The UAE is a nation that leads only with results and the satisfaction of our people." He stressed that lasting achievements are celebrated and remembered by citizens.

Recognition was given to "Union Teams" for their role in advancing the UAE's global standing. Honoured teams included the UAE Mission to the UN in New York, Expo 2025 Osaka's Pavilion Team, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center Team. Awards were also presented for culture, creativity, and AI excellence.

The event featured a Ministerial Development Council meeting led by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This gathering included ministers from various government sectors, marking a collaborative effort across federal and local entities.

A significant announcement was made regarding a AED 170 billion investment in transport projects by 2030. These projects aim to alleviate traffic congestion and improve mobility nationwide. The Economic Data Retreat brought together leaders from economic sectors to discuss these plans.

For the first time, a high-level dialogue between government and business leaders took place under the theme "UAE Government & Business Dialogue for Action." This session connected private-sector innovation with government objectives to foster an integrated economic future.

A national exercise conducted by NCEMA simulated scenarios like cyclones and cyberattacks. This exercise aimed to bolster national readiness and improve inter-agency coordination. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum partially attended this exercise.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum noted that being among leading nations requires continuous effort: "Being among the world’s leading nations is a goal worthy of every effort." He emphasised working quietly with determination for lasting success.

The meetings also hosted an interactive forum called "Pulse of the Nation," where officials discussed family affairs. The Water Acceleration Programme was launched in preparation for the 2026 UN Water Conference in December next year.

The UAE Government Annual Meetings began in 2017 under directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. They unite leaders annually to discuss development priorities across all sectors, shaping a cohesive vision for the nation's future.
