UAE Showcases Commitment To Empowering People Of Determination Through Art And Innovation
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended a special event at Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi. The event, named 'The Museum of Imagination', showcased a performance by students from the Future Rehabilitation Centre for People of Determination. This gathering attracted over 700 attendees, including notable figures, who were captivated by the students' artistic talents.
The performance featured creative visual displays and advanced technology, highlighting the students' abilities to express themselves through art in innovative ways. Sheikh Nahyan praised the show as a testament to the creative potential of People of Determination. He remarked on their remarkable ability to convey emotions and ideas through art.
In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan stated, "We believe that art and music are universal languages that transcend borders and bring people together, fostering noble values of tolerance and coexistence. What we witnessed today is a reflection of these values, which we all strive to instil in our society." He emphasised that supporting People of Determination is both a duty and a collective responsibility.
Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the UAE's commitment to empowering People of Determination under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. The country has implemented pioneering policies to create an inclusive environment for them, offering opportunities in education, employment, and innovation.
Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, expressed that "Music and art are powerful tools for overcoming barriers and enhancing communication among individuals. This performance is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students and their trainers." His words underscored the importance of art in bridging gaps between people.
Mowfaq Mustafa, Director of the Centre, stressed that caring for People of Determination is their top priority. He acknowledged the collective efforts of teachers, assistants, and administrators in producing this theatrical show. Their aim was to develop students' skills while motivating them towards greater achievements.
