UAE Excels In Global Competitiveness Rankings For Q1 2025 With Top Positions In Entrepreneurship And Safety

The UAE has demonstrated remarkable progress in global competitiveness during the first quarter of 2025. It achieved top positions in numerous international and regional indicators. This success highlights the effectiveness of the UAE's comprehensive development strategy, which focuses on efficient governance, proactive planning, and adaptability to changes and challenges.

The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) report for 2024-2025 ranked the UAE as number one globally for the fourth consecutive year. The country surpassed many advanced economies, being recognised as the best destination for entrepreneurship and SMEs among 56 surveyed economies. The UAE excelled in institutional frameworks supporting entrepreneurship, including financing, fund access, government policies, tax and bureaucracy policies, education integration, R&D transfer, infrastructure, market entry ease, and cultural standards.

UAE Achieves High Rankings in Competitiveness

In the Global Soft Power Index 2025 by Brand Finance, the UAE secured 10th place globally. The index evaluates 193 countries based on insights from business leaders and policymakers. The UAE's Nation Brand value increased significantly to $1.223 trillion in 2025. Key rankings include 4th in "Future Growth Potential," 7th in "A strong and stable economy," and 9th in "International Relations" and "Advanced technology."

According to Numbeo's 2025 Safety Index, the UAE is the second safest country globally with a safety score of 84.5. This ranking is based on user surveys assessing crime perceptions and personal safety experiences. The UAE also recorded the second-lowest crime rate in Numbeo’s Crime Index for 2025. Strict laws on crime and public behaviour contribute to this reputation.

The UAE topped Gulf rankings and placed third globally in the Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index for 2025. This index evaluates logistics competitiveness across emerging markets based on domestic opportunities, business fundamentals, and digital readiness. The UAE's investment strategy aims to close gaps with leading countries while focusing on sustainability through clean energy projects.

The World Happiness Report for 2025 placed the UAE at 21st globally, ahead of countries like the UK, US, and France. Compiled by Gallup, this report ranks nations based on life satisfaction from 2022-2024 using indicators such as GDP per capita, social support, life expectancy, freedom of choice, corruption perceptions, and generosity.

The UAE's achievements reflect its commitment to enhancing its global standing through strategic investments in various sectors. These efforts have positioned it as a leader in entrepreneurship support while maintaining high safety standards and improving national happiness levels.
