UAE Global Cadres Initiative Hosts Awareness Session For Emirati Students On Financial Careers In China
The Ministry of Finance, in partnership with the UAE Consulate General in Shanghai and the New Development Bank, recently hosted an awareness session for Emirati students in China. This event is part of the 'UAE Global Cadres' initiative, aiming to introduce students to recruitment and training opportunities in international financial organisations.
Ali Abdullah Sharafi from the Ministry of Finance highlighted the importance of connecting young Emiratis with global organisations. He stated, "The Ministry is committed to creating an interactive environment that brings together young Emirati talent with influential international organisations to stimulate national talent and enable them to explore career opportunities in the global financial sector."

Muhannad Al Naqbi, UAE's Consul General in Shanghai, stressed the collaborative nature of this initiative. He remarked, "The UAE Global Cadres initiative is an extension of the country’s diplomatic approach to building bridges of communication between Emirati students and influential global organisations." He hopes such sessions inspire students to explore new opportunities internationally.
Qiangwu Zhou from the New Development Bank welcomed attendees and praised the collaboration with the UAE. Zhou said, "We are delighted to host this panel discussion, which highlighted the strong interest and awareness among Emirati students in international business." He emphasised that investing in young talent remains a priority for their organisation.
During the session, representatives from the New Development Bank shared insights into recruitment processes and professional growth within their institution. They discussed key programmes for young professionals, detailing application procedures and skills needed for success.
Interactive Learning Experience
Students actively participated by asking questions about application requirements and daily work life at the bank. This interaction provided them with a clearer understanding of potential career paths within multilateral organisations.
The event also focused on how initiatives like these can empower Emiratis to pursue careers in leading financial institutions globally. The Ministry supports these goals through introductory programmes and strategic partnerships with entities like the New Development Bank.
Strategic Partnerships for Growth
This gathering underscores ongoing efforts by the Ministry to strengthen ties with international financial bodies. By expanding career opportunities for UAE nationals, it aligns with the country's vision of developing a competitive workforce on a global scale.
In conclusion, such initiatives play a crucial role in preparing Emirati youth for successful careers in international finance. By fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration, they contribute significantly to both national development and global economic integration.
