UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Communicates With German Chancellor On Strengthening Bilateral Relations
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a written communication to Friedrich Merz, the Chancellor of Germany. This message focused on strengthening the bilateral ties and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
The message was handed over by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and UAE Special Envoy to Germany. He met with Thorsten Frei, Head of the Federal Chancellery and Minister of State for Special Tasks, in Berlin. Ahmed Al Attar, UAE Ambassador to Germany, was also present during this meeting.

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber conveyed greetings from the UAE leadership, wishing Germany continued progress and prosperity. The meeting marked the beginning of Dr. Al Jaber's official visit to Germany, aiming to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations.
The discussions between Dr. Al Jaber and Thorsten Frei focused on expanding cooperation within their strategic partnership framework. They explored opportunities in various sectors such as economy, trade, energy, renewable energy, advanced industry and technology, and strategic investments.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber highlighted the UAE leadership’s dedication to deepening collaboration with Germany. He noted that their relationship spans over five decades of constructive engagement. The goal is to identify new opportunities that can have a significant impact on both nations.
The UAE–Germany relationship is built on mutual understanding and effective cooperation. There is a shared interest in advancing these ties further to foster partnerships that drive development and serve common interests.
Both countries aim to benefit their peoples while promoting stability and sustainable growth globally. The focus remains on creating partnerships that align with sustainable development goals in both nations.
