UAE And Georgia To Deepen Bilateral Ties Through CEPA Discussions On Sustainability And Growth
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze hold discussions focused on deepening cooperation between the UAE and Georgia. The talks address economic ties, sustainability, and shared strategic interests, with both sides seeking practical ways to expand existing partnerships.
The leaders underline their joint commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation, with a clear focus on sustainability projects that support national development goals in both countries. They stress that links between the UAE and Georgia offer wide scope for growth across several priority sectors.
The meeting is held at the Zayed National Museum during Prime Minister Kobakhidze’s working visit to the UAE for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which started yesterday. Within this context, the talks examine how ongoing initiatives can feed into deeper UAE–Georgia cooperation.
Both delegations review the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, or CEPA, between the UAE and Georgia as the main framework guiding current efforts. They explore investment, economic partnerships, renewable energy, and sustainability as practical channels to strengthen UAE Georgia cooperation in line with CEPA objectives.
During the discussions, the two sides exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual concern. They highlight the role of peace and security as essential conditions for global prosperity and for sustaining UAE Georgia cooperation on wider economic and environmental agendas.
The meeting is attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and several UAE ministers and senior officials, reflecting the importance of UAE Georgia cooperation at leadership level.
