UAE And France Collaborate To Enhance Maritime Sector Through Technology And Sustainability
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) in the UAE recently hosted the second edition of French Maritime Day, marking a significant step in fostering strategic partnerships and exchanging valuable experiences within the maritime sector. This event, a collaborative effort with Business France, saw the participation of Nathalie Kennedy, Consul-General of France in Dubai, alongside maritime officials and experts from both nations, as well as numerous national and international maritime companies. The focus was squarely on leveraging modern technology to spur growth in the maritime industry.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in presentations and workshops that showcased the latest innovative technologies and solutions for the maritime sector. Discussions also ventured into the future of this vital industry, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Hessa Al Malek, Advisor to the Minister for Maritime Transport Affairs at MoEI, highlighted the importance of innovation in propelling the maritime sector forward. "Hosting the French Maritime Day strengthened bilateral relations and reflected our shared commitment to vibrant sectors that contribute to sustainable development and environmental protection," Al Malek stated. She further emphasized the commitment to developing sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions that enhance energy efficiency within the sector.
Nathalie Kennedy echoed these sentiments, expressing France's dedication to reinforcing its strategic partnership with the UAE in the maritime domain. "The visit of the French delegation underscores our commitment to integrating modern technologies and sustainable environmental practices," Kennedy remarked.
