UAE Committed To Boosting International Cooperation And Economic Development
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, recently emphasized the significance of the Genetic International Trade Association (GITO) Summit held in Dubai. This event is pivotal in fostering investment opportunities and enhancing trade exchanges between India, African countries, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It underscores the UAE's dedication to bolstering international cooperation and fortifying the global economy under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During his participation in the summit, which saw attendance from over 600 economic leaders from more than 18 countries, Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the UAE's commitment to growth as a priority. This focus is in light of its extensive trade and economic relations worldwide, showcasing its role in promoting development and cooperation regionally and globally. The summit aimed to provide an economic model based on the Emirati experience, demonstrating that economic prosperity is crucial for a successful society and improving people's quality of life.

Notable figures such as Abdullah Al Hashimi, Executive Director of Operations at Parks and Zones and DP World for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Sanjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE, also contributed their insights at the event. A highlight of the summit was Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak honouring Vinod Adani, Chairman of Adani Global, with the Jeetu Ratna Award for his significant contributions to national growth and promotion of Jeetu.
Sheikh Nahyan's address called upon business communities in India, African countries, the MENA region to collaborate for success. He stressed the importance of managing large-scale investment and capital flows through steadfastness, hard work, social initiatives, ethical dealings, and expanding participation in joint projects and investments. He also encouraged discussions on achieving greater integration between these regions to enhance trade, investment, private sector strength, globalisation management, technology benefits sharing, institution building for economic cooperation, and leveraging the special status of these regions in the global economy.
Furthermore, Sheikh Nahyan pointed out the necessity of training and developing business leaders capable of adapting to changes in business environments. These leaders should possess skills to overcome obstacles and build cross-border relationships to realize their full potential in terms of economic, social, and human development.
