UAE Flag Day Celebrated In Ras Al Khaimah With Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Raising The National Flag
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, highlighted the significance of Flag Day as a national event that embodies pride, loyalty, and belonging to the homeland. This day is marked by raising the flag high, symbolising unity and cohesion, reflecting the dedication and sincerity instilled by the UAE’s Founding Fathers.
Sheikh Saud emphasised that celebrating Flag Day renews the pledge of loyalty to the nation. "On this day, we reaffirm the values of unity and solidarity and work to instil pride and belonging in the hearts of the community so that our flag always remains a source of inspiration and a driving force for achieving national aspirations."
The occasion was marked by Sheikh Saud raising the UAE flag at the Flagpole on Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al Khaimah. He was joined by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Public Services Department; Sheikh Khalid bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah's Investment and Development Office; and Sheikh Saqr bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ceramics.
Sheikh Saud noted that raising the flag on this day reflects national pride and noble values. It also highlights the UAE’s standing at regional and international events. The country’s commitment to humanitarian values has made it a beacon of tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity.
This celebration serves as an opportunity to remember the efforts of the Union’s founders. The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow Founding Fathers established the foundations of unity. They united hearts around noble national values, making the UAE flag a global symbol of pride, generosity, and prosperity.
The Ruler extended his warmest congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Their Highnesses Vice Presidents; Supreme Council Members; Rulers of Emirates; citizens; residents. He prayed for continued security, prosperity, and progress for the nation.
