UAE Flag Day Celebration At DIFC Highlights National Pride And Unity Under Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, participated in the UAE Flag Day event at The Gate Building in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Organised by Brand Dubai with DIFC, the ceremony featured 150 students from various schools in Dubai. Together, they raised the UAE flag before a 15-storey artwork honouring the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The artwork depicted their historic meeting at Sheikh Zayed’s farm in Al Khawaneej, forming the centrepiece of Brand Dubai's #ZayedAndRashid campaign for the second year. During this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that the UAE flag symbolises pride, dignity, and progress. It reflects national development under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership and with support from Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

Sheikh Mohammed spoke about the legacy left by the UAE’s Founding Fathers, Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid. He noted that their values laid the Union's foundation and created a developmental model admired globally. He stressed that national advancement is everyone's duty and belonging to the country is shown through work and achievements.

He also mentioned that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, with backing from Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, nation-building continues. This has resulted in a stronger Union today, marked by stability and prosperity. The flag stands as a lasting emblem of dignity, unity, and progress.

The UAE flag embodies national unity, sovereignty, and identity. It inspires citizens to excel across various fields like economy, education, space exploration, and innovation. It serves as a reminder of Zayed and Rashid's enduring legacy in shaping a nation committed to progress, peace, and humanity.

Launched in November 2013 by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as an annual celebration, UAE Flag Day honours the flag as a symbol of sovereignty and national pride. Observed on 3rd November each year, it reflects values of belonging while highlighting ongoing progress.

National Month Campaign

The UAE Flag Day marks the beginning of the National Month campaign from 3rd November until Eid Al Etihad on 2nd December 2025. This campaign aims to commemorate national occasions meaningfully while inspiring pride in the nation's journey. It provides an opportunity for people to express loyalty to its leadership.
