UAE And Finland Presidents Meet To Enhance Bilateral Ties For Mutual Growth

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Finland's President Alexander Stubb met to discuss enhancing bilateral relations. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness extended his best wishes for Finland's continued progress and prosperity. The discussions focused on strengthening ties for the benefit of both nations and their citizens.

The leaders explored cooperation in key sectors such as economy, trade, education, technology, space, and innovation. They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern. Both reaffirmed their commitment to supporting global efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.

His Highness highlighted the UAE’s eagerness to build on the progress made with Finland, especially in shared development priorities. He expressed hope that the Finnish President's visit would open new avenues for growth and prosperity. This visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The launch of negotiations on a free trade agreement and a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and the European Union was noted as a significant milestone. This development aims to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the UAE and Finland.

President Alexander Stubb expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received. He affirmed Finland’s interest in expanding economic and trade cooperation with the UAE in areas that support lasting development. He acknowledged ongoing advancements in their bilateral relationship.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to expanding UAE–Finland ties. They aim to explore opportunities that advance their peoples' ambitions for progress while contributing to global growth and stability.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials from both nations. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; along with other ministers and senior officials.

This gathering underscored both countries' dedication to fostering stronger ties across various sectors, aiming for mutual benefits that align with their shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity.
