UAE Falcons Federation Announces Participation In Inaugural Al Ain 2025 Hunting And Equestrian Exhibition

The UAE Falcons Federation will participate in the inaugural International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition – Al Ain 2025. This decision follows directives from H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and guidance from Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. The event is scheduled for 26th to 30th November 2025 at ADNEC Al Ain, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Federation's involvement builds on its success at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2024. This past event saw significant public engagement, drawing visitors from 68 countries, including individuals, institutions, and organisations. The joint pavilion of the UAE and International Falcons Federations was a focal point, showcasing falconry's heritage and achievements in local and international championships.

UAE Falcons Federation Joins Al Ain 2025 Exhibition

This year, the Federation aims to spotlight key events in its sporting calendar. Over time, these events have evolved significantly, reflecting the growth of falconry in the UAE. A notable event is the Fazza Championship for Falcons Racing. This competition is linked to Al Telwah championships and uses a qualification system for main rounds, enhancing the sport's stature locally and regionally.

Another highlight is the Emirates Falcons Racing International Cup. This championship is unique as it carries the UAE’s name and takes place outside the country. It rotates among member states of the International Federation of Falconry Sports and Racing based on criteria that ensure equal hosting opportunities, reinforcing falconry's global identity.

Rashid bin Merkhan, Secretary-General of both the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing and the UAE Falcons Federation, stressed maintaining an active presence at specialised events. He noted that these platforms are crucial for achieving the Federation’s goals by strengthening Emirati youth's connection to this ancient sport.

Falconry is a prominent symbol of national identity in the UAE. It embodies pride in cultural heritage, traditions, and customs. Participation in such exhibitions helps promote these values while showcasing significant milestones achieved by Emirati falconers on both local and international stages.

The UAE Falcons Federation continues to play a vital role in promoting falconry sports globally through strategic participation in international exhibitions. By doing so, it not only highlights its achievements but also fosters a deeper appreciation for this traditional sport among new generations.
