UAE Expands Work Bundle Initiative To Include All Emirates
The UAE Government has announced the launch of the second phase of the Work Bundle, an initiative aimed at providing a range of services to private-sector companies, individuals, and investors. The expansion includes all emirates and will be available through the digital platform 'Work in UAE'. The goal is to create a unified and integrated platform that brings together all relevant entities to streamline employment and residency procedures.|
The Work Bundle is part of the UAE Government's Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to enhance user experience, improve government efficiency, and boost the country's competitiveness as a global destination for living and working. The announcement was made during a media briefing in Dubai, following collaboration between various entities involved in designing and developing the second phase of the Work Bundle.

The platform, available at workinuae.ae, aims to provide an easier experience for individuals and business owners. It follows the principle of requesting data only once, reducing procedures and requirements, and ensuring proactive service delivery. The Work Bundle avoids duplication of procedures and requirements, prioritizes integration, and utilizes advanced technology to design customer-centric services.
The Work Bundle offers a range of services related to living and working in the UAE. It includes services for onboarding new employees, such as issuing work permits, visa and employment contracts, Emirates ID, residency, and medical examination services. The platform also facilitates the renewal and cancellation of employment contracts, work permits, and residencies.
The benefits of the Work Bundle include reducing the number of platforms offering services from five to a single unified platform, simplifying procedures by replacing eight required services with a streamlined experience on one platform. The necessary steps are also reduced from 15 to five, and the number of visits to service centers is decreased from seven to two, resulting in a significant reduction in processing time from 30 business days to just five.
The new initiative aims to streamline procedures, reduce effort and time for customers, and eliminate 25 million procedural steps, 12 million visits, and 62 million working days. The launch of the Work Bundle expands the base of beneficiaries to include all companies operating in the UAE, reflecting the efforts of various federal and local entities to simplify procedures and requirements.
The collaboration and integration between federal and local entities play a crucial role in offering better and faster user experiences. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), along with other participating entities, is committed to providing proactive and integrated digital services accessible anytime and from anywhere.
The Work Bundle not only enhances government efficiency but also contributes to the UAE's economic competitiveness. It attracts capital, entrepreneurs, experts, and creative talents, making the country an ideal destination for living and working. The unified platform reflects the integration and cohesion within the UAE Government, which operates as one unit centered on the customer.
The Work Bundle's unified platform aims to create a seamless user experience by requesting information only once through a unified application form. Data is exchanged between various entities via an advanced electronic link. It establishes a unified payment model and mechanism, reducing the number of required visits and documents. The use of modern technology and digital platforms enhances collaboration among federal and local government entities, streamlining procedures to align with the UAE's strategic objectives.
The UAE Government is committed to enhancing integration among federal and local services to provide an exceptional service experience, simplify people's lives, and support the business sector. The Work Bundle is a significant step towards achieving these goals, adding value to all users and further solidifying the UAE's position as a leading global destination.
