Epidemic Preparedness Strengthened By UAE As Frontline Heroes Lead National Readiness
The Frontline Heroes Office marked the International Day of Epidemic Preparedness by stressing that the UAE maintains a strong, integrated health protection system. This system focuses on advance planning, rapid response, and empowering frontline workers, who are described as the main shield protecting public health across the country.
The office noted that national readiness against epidemics comes from a long-term strategy. This strategy invests in training staff, improving skills, and building flexible response structures. These efforts aim to secure reliable performance when crises emerge, including public health emergencies and infectious disease outbreaks.

The International Day of Epidemic Preparedness is observed each year on 27th December, following a decision by the United Nations General Assembly. The Frontline Heroes Office used this occasion to highlight how such global initiatives match the UAE’s ongoing work to build robust prevention and response measures.
The office explained that several core elements support the UAE’s epidemic readiness and resilience. These elements combine human, organisational, and technical capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective coordination between key national sectors.
{TABLE_1}The Frontline Heroes Office stated, "We are proud of our heroes who have formed, and continue to form, the first line of defence for society, and of a national system that has made continuous training and comprehensive support a firmly established approach to ensure their readiness under all circumstances." This statement underlined the central role of frontline teams.
The office also stressed that the UAE contributes beyond its borders. The country continues to back regional and international programmes that seek to prevent infectious diseases, limit their social and economic effects, and respond effectively. These actions support the 2030 Agenda and help strengthen cooperation on global health security.
In its message, the Frontline Heroes Office confirmed that investing in people remains a key priority. According to the office, this focus supports a safer and more sustainable health future for the UAE. The statement added that national leadership views preparedness and prevention as the strongest lines of defence against epidemics.
