UAE Embassy Celebrates Emirati Cultural Days In Ottawa To Strengthen Bilateral Ties

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates recently hosted the 'Emirati Cultural Days' in Ottawa, Canada, from 12th to 14th October. This event celebrated UAE culture through music, art, and history at Lansdowne Park and Byward Market. It aimed to foster cultural exchange between the UAE and Canada, featuring numerous Emirati artists and craftsmen.

Thousands of visitors from diverse backgrounds attended the event, engaging in various Emirati and Arab cultural activities. Aalya Helal Al Shehhi, Chargé d'Affaires at the UAE Embassy, addressed attendees including parliament members and diplomatic representatives. She emphasised the event's role in reflecting UAE’s cultural diplomacy.

Emirati Cultural Days Celebrated in Ottawa

Al Shehhi highlighted the significance of celebrating 50 years of UAE-Canada relations. She stated that culture acts as a communication bridge, enhancing understanding and cooperation between nations. The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new areas for mutual benefit across different sectors.

The event featured a wide array of activities that captivated participants. Guests enjoyed live performances and interactive experiences. A notable attraction was a virtual museum offering an innovative way to explore UAE's history through digital exhibits and virtual tours.

A special station dedicated to Arabic calligraphy showcased its historical significance and diverse designs. The event concluded with performances at Byward Market, highlighting the UAE’s rich cultural heritage. These activities underscored the depth of Emirati traditions passed down through generations.
