Over One Million Workers Celebrate UAE's 53rd Eid Al Etihad With Joyful Festivities

The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has launched celebrations for the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, focusing on worker appreciation. The theme, "Our Workers' Happiness in Our Union's Celebration," highlights the importance of workers in the UAE. This event is organised with support from various entities, including the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police, and involves over a million workers.

The two-day nationwide event includes entertainment, competitions, and prizes, with a car as the grand prize in a raffle. The Insurance pool provides diamond sponsorship, while Aldar Properties offers platinum sponsorship. Other sponsors include strategic partners like the UAE Food Bank and International Charity Organisation. These partnerships ensure a successful celebration.

In addition to the main events, companies such as Al Eskan Al Jamae and Emirates Global Aluminium are hosting festivities at labour accommodations. These activities demonstrate how companies value their workforce by providing entertainment and engagement opportunities. Such initiatives reflect the UAE's commitment to enhancing workers' well-being.

The Emirates Labour Market Award acknowledges exceptional worker contributions. In its second edition, 48 outstanding workers were honoured for their dedication and achievements. This award highlights the importance of recognising workforce efforts in driving business excellence across the nation.

The UAE's Wage Protection System (WPS) ensures timely payment of wages, while regulations address labour disputes effectively. These measures contribute to the country's high rankings in global competitive indicators, showcasing its commitment to maintaining a fair and supportive work environment.
