UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Meets Egyptian President El-Sisi To Discuss Ties And Regional Issues
In Cairo, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi engaged in discussions to strengthen ties and expand cooperation. Their meeting at Al-Ittihadiya Palace focused on enhancing collaboration in economic, trade, and development sectors to support both nations' growth objectives.
The leaders also addressed regional and international issues of shared interest, including developments in the Middle East. They emphasised the significance of recent global recognition of the State of Palestine. Both leaders reiterated that a two-state solution is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
During their talks, Sheikh Mohamed and President El-Sisi highlighted the need for increased joint Arab action. This cooperation is crucial to address unprecedented regional challenges, ensuring security and promoting sustainable prosperity for all people in the area.
The leaders expressed their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza. They also discussed reaching a permanent resolution to the ongoing crisis there. Their efforts are directed towards fostering peace and stability across the region.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed was a delegation including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President. Several ministers and senior officials were also part of this group.
At the conclusion of his visit, His Highness departed from Cairo. President El-Sisi bid him farewell at Cairo International Airport, marking the end of this significant fraternal visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE.
