The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence recently disclosed the successful execution of the second airdrop of humanitarian and relief aid in the northern Gaza Strip. This initiative, carried out by the UAE Air Force alongside the Egyptian Air Force, is part of the "Birds of Goodness" operation. The primary goal is to mitigate the hardships faced by the Palestinian people due to ongoing conflicts.
During this operation, joint teams from the UAE and Egypt utilized three aircraft to deliver approximately 42 tonnes of essential food and medical supplies. This recent effort has increased the total aid provided to 78 tonnes since the commencement of the operation. "Birds of Goodness" falls under the broader "Gallant Knight 3" humanitarian mission, which began on 5th November 2023. This mission aligns with directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is set to continue over several weeks.

The collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt in conducting these airdrops is a testament to their commitment towards supporting the Gaza populace. Moreover, this operation underscores Arab solidarity in times of crisis, aiming to provide relief to those in dire need within the Gaza Strip.
