UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And Ecuador's President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation And Sign Key Agreements
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Daniel Noboa of Ecuador recently engaged in discussions to enhance bilateral relations. Their focus was on boosting cooperation in key areas such as the economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, and sustainability. These discussions took place during President Noboa's official visit to the UAE at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
President Noboa extended congratulations to His Highness on the UAE's 54th Eid Al Etihad, wishing for continued progress and prosperity. Both leaders expressed a strong commitment to strengthening development cooperation and expanding its scope. They aim to leverage diverse opportunities within the UAE-Ecuador partnership to support their shared vision for development.
The UAE is keen on expanding economic partnerships with Latin American countries, including Ecuador. His Highness highlighted significant progress in recent years, emphasizing that this approach strengthens ties between the two nations. It aligns with the UAE’s broader vision of building inclusive development partnerships for mutual benefit.
President Noboa expressed gratitude for the warm welcome received from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. He conveyed Ecuador's eagerness to expand economic and investment partnerships with the UAE. The focus is on enhancing cooperation across vital sectors like economy, tourism, and renewable energy.
During the visit, both Presidents attended a ceremony where a cooperation agreement and two memoranda of understanding were signed. These agreements aim to promote and protect mutual investments between the UAE and Ecuador. Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy signed on behalf of the UAE, while President Noboa represented Ecuador.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Ecuador’s Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society. This agreement involves collaboration with the Ecuadorian Chamber of Innovation and Technology. On behalf of the UAE, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama signed it.
Labour Mobility Cooperation
An announcement was made regarding a memorandum of understanding on labour mobility cooperation. This agreement involves collaboration between the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Ecuador's Ministry of Labour. Such initiatives are expected to foster stronger ties between both countries.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries from both sides, including H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; along with other sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
The discussions underscored the importance of working together to strengthen peace and stability at regional and global levels. Both leaders believe this is essential for achieving development and prosperity for all involved parties.
