UAE Enhances Economic Performance In Key Sectors Led By Mohamed Bin Zayed
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, emphasised the UAE's commitment to excelling in various sectors under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the nation's dedication to strengthening global partnerships to address challenges and drive progress in sustainability, innovation, and advanced infrastructure.
Sheikh Mohammed underscored the private sector's crucial role in driving economic development. This aligns with the UAE's strategy to diversify income sources, enhance investment opportunities, and create new business avenues, especially in future-focused sectors. He noted that Dubai continues to solidify its status as a pivotal global trading hub and a centre for the creative and digital economy.
During his weekly Majlis meeting with local dignitaries, business leaders, investors, ministers, and senior officials, Sheikh Mohammed discussed Dubai's ongoing efforts to maintain its leading position globally and regionally. He mentioned that these efforts support the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to establish Dubai as one of the world’s top three urban economies.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted Dubai's exceptional performance across various fields. He attributed this success to strong partnerships between public and private sectors and robust relationships with strategic partners worldwide. "Innovation and advanced technology are key drivers of a prosperous and bright future for Dubai," he stated.
"We are committed to providing an ideal environment for startups in innovation and advanced technologies," Sheikh Mohammed added. This commitment is supported by modern laws and regulations aimed at facilitating business operations, simplifying procedures, and strengthening Dubai's position as a global hub for innovation.
Cybersecurity Importance
On the sidelines of the meeting, attendees listened to a lecture by Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council. The lecture focused on cybersecurity's critical role in safeguarding the UAE's digital transformation. It also emphasised protecting national achievements and preserving national security.
The meeting was attended by several prominent figures including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority; H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated; along with other sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
Sheikh Mohammed reiterated that Dubai seeks to establish itself as a leading destination for tourism, business, and investment. By consistently providing vital resources, Dubai aims to maintain its leading position both globally and regionally in key sectors.
"Dubai's exceptional performance in all fields highlights the strength of its partnerships," said Sheikh Mohammed. He noted that there is strong synergy between its public and private sectors along with robust relationships developed with strategic partners worldwide.
