UAE Emerges As Global Leader In Innovative Sustainable Humanitarian Action, Dubai Panel Shows

Dubai is described as a meeting point for people from many nationalities, where safety and stability support cooperation. Panellists said residents and visitors enjoy strong services and quality of life, and that the city’s environment encourages shared responsibility. They noted that humanitarian initiatives launched from Dubai are guided by clear vision and strong governance.

Officials and business leaders stated that the United Arab Emirates has become a global force in innovative and sustainable humanitarian action. They said the UAE acts as a beating heart for the world, with a national identity built on extending help and goodwill to people facing hardship in many regions.

UAE Dubai lead in sustainable humanitarian effort

Speakers stressed that the UAE, and Dubai in particular, continue to provide humanitarian and charitable assistance across borders. They highlighted that support is directed to people in need or under pressure, wherever they are located. According to the panellists, the country has risen to the top tier of donors worldwide.

The panel underlined that the UAE has emerged as a leader in managing humanitarian and charitable work through new and sustainable models. Participants linked this approach to a long-term strategy that turns values into practice. They explained that, in the UAE, humanitarian work is treated as an organised system, not as temporary campaigns.

This discussion took place during a session titled "From the Heart of Dubai: Empowering Lives Through Humanitarian Efforts". The panel included Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Developments; Dr. Mahdi Al Fardan, Chairman of the Board of Gulf International Cancer Center; Prof. Khalid Al Marri, President IPMA UAE and Professor at British University Dubai; and Dr. Waleed Al-Ali, Secretary General and Board Member of the Digital School, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The session was moderated by Georgia Tolley, Journalist and Emcee.

The panellists said Dubai’s model has turned words into clear action and made humanitarian work a daily practice. They observed that people in the city are eager to participate, not remain on the sidelines. Humanitarian projects, they added, are supported by rules that encourage long-term engagement from both institutions and individuals.

Speakers also noted that charitable work in Dubai is marked by trust between organisers and contributors, across its many forms. Participants feel they are true partners rather than distant donors, with visibility on where support goes. Panellists concluded that Dubai is not only a centre for tourism and business, but also a leading hub for innovative and sustainable humanitarian action.
