UAE Triumphs At Gulf Youth Games With A Stellar 274 Medal Haul

Maintaining a dominant position in the sports arena, the UAE has once again showcased its prowess at the inaugural Gulf Youth Games UAE 2024. The nation's athletes have collectively amassed an impressive total of 274 medals, thereby extending their lead over competing countries. This achievement underscores the UAE's commitment to fostering young talent and promoting sports as a unifying force under the theme "Our Gulf is One... Our Youth is Promising."

On the thirteenth day of competition, the UAE marked its most successful day yet, with athletes excelling across various disciplines. The day ended with the nation securing 43 medals in archery, golf, karate, swimming, judo, and billiards. This remarkable feat has contributed to the UAE's overall tally of 90 gold, 97 silver, and 87 bronze medals.

Saudi Arabia, not far behind, enhanced its medal count with an additional 30 medals, totaling 123 and securing second place. Kuwait holds onto third place with a total of 106 medals. Qatar and Bahrain follow in fourth and fifth places respectively, showcasing the competitive spirit among the participating nations.

The UAE's national archery team led the way at the Sharjah Police Officers Club, securing 22 medals across various categories. Similarly, on the karate mats, UAE's athletes shone brightly, securing five medals in both individual kata and team kumite competitions on the final day of the second round.

The golf team demonstrated unmatched skill at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club by sweeping all three individual medals and claiming the team gold. In judo competitions held at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, the UAE team secured third place with eight medals.

In swimming, the national team continued to make waves by adding eight medals to their tally at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Sports City Centre pool. This achievement brought their total to 18 medals in swimming alone.
