Dr. Al Neyadi highlighted that youth, peace, and security have been central to the UAE's approach since its inception. "Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the nation's vision reflects its deep commitment to supporting youth as a fundamental element in achieving prosperity, of which peace is a key pillar, and in building a peaceful, global, and sustainable social system."

He further stated that the UAE prioritises empowering youth by creating environments conducive to skill development and opportunities across various life fields. "The UAE also aims to involve youth in decision-making to play a prominent role in shaping policies that support stability in their communities," he said. The country invests in specialised programmes to help youth turn their capabilities into positive forces aligned with national aspirations.

On the sidelines of the forum, an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers was held by the Arab League. This meeting focused on discussing national priorities for implementing the executive plan for the youth, peace, and security strategy.

The forum brought together Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, youth delegations from various Arab countries, civil society representatives, and international organisations. Their collective efforts aim to support Arab countries by enhancing regional cooperation and promoting active youth participation in crucial areas.

The event underscored the importance of involving young people in decision-making processes. By doing so, it aims to ensure they contribute significantly to shaping policies that foster stability within their communities.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to develop specialised programmes that harness young people's potential. These programmes are designed to transform their capabilities into positive contributions towards future national goals.

The UAE's commitment to these principles reflects its broader vision under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. The nation views youth as essential to achieving prosperity through peace and building a sustainable global social system.

The forum's discussions highlighted how regional cooperation can be enhanced through active youth involvement. This approach is seen as vital for addressing development challenges and ensuring long-term peace and security in the region.

The launch of this strategy marks a significant step towards implementing UN Security Council resolutions within the Arab context. It also represents a concerted effort to support Arab countries by fostering regional collaboration on critical issues affecting young people.

By focusing on these areas, the strategy aims to create an environment where young people can thrive. It seeks to empower them with opportunities that allow them to develop skills necessary for contributing positively to their societies.
