UAE Clinches Decisive 4-0 Win Against Nepal In World Cup 2026 Qualifiers
The UAE maintained their flawless performance in Group H of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ with a decisive 4-0 victory over Nepal. The match took place at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium on Thursday.
The Whites had already secured their spot in Saudi Arabia 2027 and advanced to the next round of World Cup qualifiers. They will now face Bahrain in Dubai, aiming to achieve full marks in the group.

The young forward opened the scoring for the UAE just 12 minutes into the game with a flying header. Suhail was unmarked at the far post and powered in a header after Abdullah Idris delivered a cross from the left.
Only two minutes later, Suhail doubled his tally. Ali Saleh provided a precise pass behind the Nepali defence, allowing Suhail to control it and finish calmly past goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong, making it 2-0.
Chemjong had to be at his best to prevent a third goal when Saleh set up Mohammed Al Baloushi inside the box. The Al Ain midfielder's low side-footed shot was saved by Chemjong with a diving effort.
Saleh nearly scored an extraordinary goal before halftime. He went on a solo run from the left, bypassing four defenders before shooting from outside the box, but Chemjong made another save to keep the score at 2-0 by halftime.
Second Half Action
Eight minutes into the second half, Saleh finally got his goal. A well-executed passing move saw playmaker Tahnoun Al Zaabi feed Saleh down the left. Saleh cut inside and fired into the top corner, extending the lead to 3-0.
Mohammed Al Mansouri almost marked his international debut with a goal when Idris set him up with a cross from the left. However, the 18-year-old overhit his first-time finish, sending the ball high over the crossbar from close range.
Final Flourish
With 15 minutes remaining, 19-year-old Hazem Mohammed scored the UAE’s fourth goal in spectacular fashion. He noticed Chemjong slightly off his line and lobbed an effort from 35 yards out into the back of the net.
The UAE's dominant performance ensures they head into their final group match against Bahrain with confidence and momentum. The team aims to continue their winning streak and secure full marks in Group H.
