UAE And Cyprus Establish Strategic Partnership To Advance Digital Transformation And AI Initiatives

The UAE's Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has entered into a strategic collaboration with Cyprus's Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy. This partnership is designed to bolster cooperation in digital sectors, share AI best practices, and enhance the digital economy while improving societal well-being.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, the UAE's Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, signed the agreement alongside Dr. Nikodimos Damianou from Cyprus. Al Olama highlighted that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE is committed to building global partnerships. These efforts aim to foster expertise exchange and accelerate digital innovation in artificial intelligence.

Al Olama noted that international collaborations formed during the World Governments Summit align with its objectives of enhancing global cooperation. These partnerships underscore the UAE's role as a global innovation hub in AI. They also contribute to knowledge sharing, development acceleration, and supporting a sustainable future through advanced technology.

Dr. Nikodimos Damianou stated that the agreement focuses on exchanging best practices in AI-related policies and technologies. It aims to identify joint research projects in AI and promote collaboration among academic institutions like research institutes and universities focused on AI.
