UAE Cybersecurity Council Participates In Google Cloud Next 2025 Summit In The United States

The UAE Cybersecurity Council represented the United Arab Emirates at the Google Cloud Next 2025 summit in Las Vegas. This annual event, organised by Google, is a key platform for showcasing advancements in cloud computing, AI, and data analytics. Industry leaders, developers, and partners gathered to discuss the future of these technologies.

During the summit, the UAE Cybersecurity Council announced a collaboration with Google to establish a Global Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence in Abu Dhabi. This initiative aligns with the UAE's Vision 2031, aiming to position the country as a global digital hub. The centre will leverage Google's advanced technologies to drive digital transformation.

Dr. Mohamed AlKuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, highlighted the nation's ambition to lead globally in digital transformation and cybersecurity. He stated, "Today, we have more than 17 international partners, and through these collaborations, we have launched significant initiatives in cybersecurity." These efforts include projects like Falcon LLM and Cyber Pulse.

The summit also introduced new tools such as Gemini Code Assist and Google AI Studio to empower developers. Sessions covered cloud computing and cybersecurity topics with interactive workshops demonstrating AI's impact on sectors like healthcare and commerce. The Gemini 2.5 Pro model was unveiled for its advanced analytical capabilities.

The establishment of Google's regional office is expected to bring substantial economic benefits to the UAE. It aims to create over 20,300 specialised jobs in cybersecurity and attract $1.4 billion in direct foreign investments. This initiative will support startups by enabling them to utilise Google Cloud services tailored for emerging businesses.

The UAE will host Google's first cybersecurity academy in the Middle East within this centre. The academy will certify Google's training programmes and offer Train-the-Trainer (TOT) programmes to develop instructors both within and beyond the UAE.

The Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence aims to integrate Google's products into developing the UAE's digital infrastructure. Over 25 products are currently being developed with Google’s collaboration. This initiative reflects the UAE's dedication to technological innovation while ensuring a secure digital ecosystem.
