UAE Cybersecurity Council Partners With EAHS To Protect Equestrian Heritage

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS). This partnership aims to enhance collaboration and share expertise in cyber fields related to information and communications technology.

The MoU aligns with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors. It also follows up on initiatives by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors. The agreement seeks to preserve the UAE’s equestrian heritage by securing records and data on Arabian horses.

UAE Cybersecurity & EAHS Join Forces

The agreement aims to boost cooperation between the EAHS and the Cybersecurity Council. It includes exchanging expertise in IT and training programmes in information security. Additionally, it facilitates greater coordination in sharing cybersecurity information.

Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, expressed his satisfaction with the MoU. He stated, "We are pleased to sign this Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, as the council bases its operations on a strategy to protect data and infrastructure from potential risks."

The data on Arabian horses is considered a unique asset in the UAE. Dr. Al Kuwaiti highlighted that these horses are an integral part of the nation's heritage and identity. He added that the EAHS respects traditions inherited from forefathers, and the council is committed to supporting these platforms and systems.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director-General of the EAHS, emphasized that this initiative aims to provide full protection for critical data related to Arabian horses registered with the EAHS. He said, "We are proud to sign this MoU with the Cybersecurity Council and to collaborate with state institutions, implementing the vision of our wise leadership to adopt modern technologies and enhance information security to the highest international standards."

Event Highlights

The signing ceremony took place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre during ADIHEX's 21st edition. The event was attended by key figures including Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti and Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi.

The collaboration between these entities underscores their commitment to safeguarding valuable data while preserving cultural heritage through advanced cybersecurity measures.
