UAE Continues Humanitarian Support For Lebanon With Two Aircraft Carrying Essentials For Women

The UAE has dispatched two planes to Beirut, delivering 80 tonnes of essential supplies for women. This initiative is part of the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign, spearheaded by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the "Mother of the Nation." She holds several prominent positions, including Chairwoman of the General Women's Union and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

Emirati humanitarian organisations are actively working to ease the hardships faced by Lebanese citizens amid ongoing conflict. The campaign began in early October under directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It continues to send urgent aid to Lebanon, overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

UAE Sends Relief Aircraft to Lebanon

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organisations, emphasised the UAE's unwavering support. He noted that this reflects the nation's deep-rooted values of solidarity. The efforts align with the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who prioritised urgent assistance during crises.

Al Shamsi highlighted Sheikha Fatima's dedication to empowering Lebanese women by addressing their needs for food, medicine, and shelter. He mentioned that these two aircraft were part of a larger relief airbridge campaign, being the 19th and 20th flights sent. The UAE remains committed to providing immediate relief to Lebanese people both within Lebanon and among refugees in Syria.

The UAE's ongoing efforts involve collaboration with local, regional, and international organisations. This cooperation aims to deliver necessary materials to those affected by conflict, ensuring early recovery and stability. The initiative underscores a commitment to humanitarian values and support for those in need during challenging times.

The UAE's continued assistance highlights its dedication to helping Lebanon achieve security and stability through timely aid. By focusing on essential supplies for women, this initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also empowers communities facing adversity.
