UAE Commits To Leading Role In International Humanitarian Efforts

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, emphasised the UAE's ongoing commitment to international humanitarian work. He praised the dedication of aid workers and humanitarian responders who assist those in need.

In a statement on World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on 19th August, H.H. Sheikh Theyab highlighted the UAE's steadfast support for vulnerable groups such as children, women, the elderly, and people of determination. He acknowledged their unwavering efforts in reaching out to those in need.

UAE's Pledge for Humanitarian Leadership

"With the firm approach of the late founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the great interest and unlimited support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we celebrate the remarkable humanitarian contributions made by the UAE, and review its clear commitment to humanitarian work at regional and international levels, and we commend the inspiring efforts made by humanitarian workers in spreading hope among societies suffering from crises,'' H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed said.

H.H. Sheikh Theyab also stressed the importance of supporting individuals working on the front lines, including doctors, nurses, specialists, engineers, and various support providers. He noted that these professionals play a crucial role in various humanitarian fields.

The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council will collaborate with partners to enhance the capabilities of humanitarian actors. This collaboration aims to provide necessary support to achieve humanitarian goals more effectively and respond to crises efficiently.
